Bellevue Police are investigating an armed robbery that took place in broad daylight at Clark’s Pharmacy on Bel-Red Road. Police said the suspects used zip ties on the employees.

Employees told police two men dressed as delivery drivers entered and demanded money and OxyContin.

One of the suspects allegedly held a long box containing a rifle, and the second suspect allegedly pulled out a handgun.

“There was an element of planning. They came dressed as delivery drivers and they were armed. They were ready to take over and basically take people hostage, so the level of engagement and preparation is a concern.” Bellevue Police Captain David Sanabria said.

Sanabria said the flight lasted between eight and ten minutes, and as traumatic as the event was, the victims did everything right.

“They cooperated. They did not fight, they did not contest,” said Captain Sanabria. “They immediately called 911. They provided an excellent description of what happened, and they gave us a direction of travel which they last saw them.”

The two suspects were last seen crossing Bel-Red Road heading north from Redmond.

The suspects got away with about $ 150, but the drugstore does not carry narcotics.

“The staff here did an admirable performance, they absolutely did the right thing. Two gentlemen approached my staff armed with guns, demanded money and drugs that we don’t have here on. up, ”pharmacist Shelby Bottemiller said. “They behaved in a professional, calm manner. They did their best to defuse the situation and were ultimately successful in causing no injuries.”

Police have provided a suspicious description of the two men.

One of them is between 25 and 35 years old. He was seen wearing a brown delivery driver uniform, a black bandana and black Oakley sunglasses

The second suspect is between 30 and 40 years old. He is described as being stocky and having a solid build. He also wore a brown delivery driver’s uniform and a black bandana.
