Perth designer’s sunglasses designs give you the perfect holiday vibe

From a clothing brand to sunglasses, it’s a transition that’s probably going the other way, but it’s kind of the groove of 22-year-old Stefan D’Angelo.

The Balcatta man marches to the beat of his own drum and in an industry where standing out from the crowd is vital, D’Angelo knows you need to have a passion and a drive to participate.

“STEFS is the renewal of this passion (which I lost). As I got older, I got into slightly different things and more technical design, and I got into sunglasses design,” he told AAA.

“The birth of STEFS was about bringing that vacation lifestyle and that feeling of nostalgia and that vacation mentality into eyewear. I really wanted everyone who wears it to feel carefree and just thinking about the next cocktail party they’re going to. order, what beach they’re going to, when they put those sunglasses on. That’s the identity that I really want people to feel.

When D’Angelo soft-launched his brand in February, he said his first items were inspired by the WA coastline.

The designer’s glasses were recently spotted at the Out of the Woods music festival after up-and-coming singer Adrian Dzvuke wore a pair during his performance.

D’Angelo teased a few upcoming projects and collaborations with big names, but he kept a low profile.

“There are things in the works that we are really looking forward to releasing and I can’t wait for people to see them. I can’t wait for everyone to follow along and see what STEFS wants because it’s not just the beginning,” he said.

Although we’re heading into the colder months, D’Angelo said that just like sunscreen should always be applied in the winter, sunglasses can still be worn.

“They are the finishing touch to an outfit and can really elevate your style, whatever the occasion.”
